THE DO'S

  • Ridecals vinyl wheel accents should be washed with a sponge and a mixture of mild car wash detergent/clean water
  • Wait 48 hours after installation before washing the wheel accents.
  • Cleaning solutions should be tested on a small section of the vinyl graphic before using them.
  • Always read the warning labels on car care products to determine if they may be harmful to the vinyl.
  • Once you’ve washed the wheels, rinse them with clean water.
  • Let the wheel accents air dry or use a microfiber cloth to dry them.

THE DONT'S

  • Do not use solvents such as acetone, toluene, paint thinner, lacquer thinner or gasoline on your wheel accents
  • Do not apply carnauba based or tinted wax or wax containing abrasives to your wheel accents.
  • Do not wash with mechanical brushes (typically found in automatic car washes).
  • Do not use high pressure sprayers.
    • PRESSURE WASHING should be used only as a last resort. Keep the nozzles at least 18 inches from the edge of the wheel accent. Pressure washing can cause the wheel accents to lift at the edges and peel away from the wheels surface. Constant pressure washing can degrade the face of the film causing the graphic to fade, crack, and even chip away from the surface.Use extreme care when aiming the water spray from the nozzle of the pressure washer. Sharp spray angles can cause your wheel accents to lift from the wheel.
